WHAT TO EXPECT

During your trip, we will normally travel between three to six different locations, depending on where the fish are biting. If the wind cooperates we can go off shore between 2-10 miles out. If the water is rough we will stay in the backwaters close to the mangroves. As we are fishing we will normally use smaller rods while we are waiting for the big ones and catch bait fish. You will be busy the whole time you are on the charter! Shelling, Sightseeing, and Eco-tours are available as well for the same fee.

F.A.Q's

What size sharks do we catch?
Basically I put out rods for both big and small sharks. You never know what’s going to bite from a 2 foot Blacktip to a 10 foot Tigershark. It’s one of those things.  I cannot target an exact species but I do my best to accommodate what you would like to do, such as going for big fish to catch and release or smaller to take home to eat.

How far do we go?
Sometimes we will fish within hundreds of yards from the boat ramp, and other times, we will run 15 miles to a wreck or a spot where they are biting. That all depends on the tide, wind, and the time of the day.

Keeping Sharks
I do not keep any sharks over 3 feet long for consumption. I am pretty much a catch and release person unless it’s a small Blacktip or Bonnet-head and they are good eating.  I am happy to filet them for you. There is a two shark limit per trip as the law tells me so.

If you would like to keep a small shark I will gladly keep it iced down for you and filet it at the cleaning table.  If we catch other smaller species of fish of legal size that are edible, I will clean those if you so desire.  Most trips we use what we catch for bait, therefore there is not always something to bring back and clean unless you let me know ahead of time this is your preference.
